"The Northern Gate" is a return to the Rio Puerco and Cabezon Peak area of Northwestern New Mexico where Doug has spent many days exploring, camping and being inspired by a terrain worthy of being a national park because of its drama and unspoiled purity. This area is under the protection of the Bureau of Land Management and is now a wilderness study area.
