"Shiprock" is spectacular geologic formation located on the Navajo Reservation in the extreme northwest corner of New Mexico. Shiprock dominates the landscape for a vast radius. It is considered a sacred site by the Navajos and many legends are attached to it as a foundation of the myths and beliefs of these people.
