This show
is inspired by Taos. Since moving here 9 years ago I have slowly been
seeped in the expansive beauty of this place. Whether it is the endless
cloud filled skies, the distant sweep of monsoon rains falling, or
the majestic scale of the Rio Grande Gorge, Taos is an inspirational
place for a landscape artist to live. It is completely understandable
to me why so many generations of creative people have been seduced
by the quality of life here. Taos has ancient traditions with a unique
mix of cultures, it has the high mountains and the broad sage filled
West Mesa, and it has heroic cloud filled skies, and it has the Gorge
which has become my personal sanctuary. |
